Hologic UK is a women’s health company that provides the technology that underpins the majority of breast cancer screening in the UK.
Hologic is dedicated to diagnosing breast cancer in women as early and as accurately as possible. To mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) this October, Hologic has partnered with Know Your Lemons to launch a campaign to promote the importance of attending screening and improving awareness of what an appointment will entail.
The campaign uses imagery of lemons to depict commons symptoms of cancer, and provides suggestions of the sorts of questions they might what to consider before attending their screening appointment. It shares the factors which may affect a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer, and what they should be asking their doctors when they attend a screening appointment. For example, the campaign encourages women to speak to their clinician about their breast density – a known risk factor for breast cancer.
