The Fair is aimed towards people with learning and physical disabilities, sensory needs, neurodiversity and mental health conditions.
Employers attending the event included West Hertfordshire NHS Hospitals Trust, Sky Studios Elstree, Align, J Clean, Ringway, Computacenter, The Grove, Ashridge House, Warner Brothers Studios Leavesden, Hertfordshire County Council, Mission Employable, Herts Catering Ltd, Ringway and Watford Football Club.
Sponsored by West Herts College and partnering with Jobcentre Plus, Watford & West Herts Chamber of Commerce, Watford Borough Council and Watford Football Club, the fair was very well attended by those looking to meet employers, network with others and discuss local employment and training opportunities. The final hour of the job fair was a ‘Quiet hour’, for those with sensory needs.
Speaking after the event Dean said “I would like to put on record my thanks to all of the organisers, the employers and the attendees. I hope those visiting found the fair to be useful as they learnt more about potential employment opportunities in the local area.
