Watford MP hosted a drop-in surgery at ASDA to give local residents the opportunity to raise any questions or concerns directly with him. Most MPs hold surgeries in their constituency to give people an opportunity to meet them and discuss matters of concern.
Dean said “As the town’s elected representative I think it is really important that I am accessible and visible in the constituency. It is my job to represent and support local residents with any issues that they may have.
A wide range of matters were raised with me, both local and national. Such sessions are really helpful in giving me a more detailed understanding of what my constituents are most concerned about. The most commonly raised issues were illegal immigration and the cost-of-living crisis.
Thank you to everybody that took the time to stop for a chat, and I look forward to hosting similar sessions across Watford in the near future.”
