Watford MP Dean Russell hosted a drop-in surgery in Morrisons supermarket to give local residents the opportunity to raise any questions or concerns directly with him. MPs hold surgeries in their constituency to give people an opportunity to meet them and discuss matters of concern, both local and parliamentary. Dean holds drop-in surgeries in all corners of his constituency to enable as many residents as possible to raise any issues they may have.
Dean Russell said “Surgery appointments are really important to me. I want to be accessible and visible across the constituency. I am elected to represent and support local residents with any issues that they may have which is why I like to make myself readily available. My team and I recently surpassed 20,000 pieces of casework and whilst we cannot always resolve every issue, we will certainly do our best to ensure your concerns are taken to the correct person or department.”
A really wide range of matters were raised with me, today I heard a lot of comments about fly-tipping and this is something I will be raising further with the relevant authorities. Thanks to everyone that took the time to stop for a chat and to share feedback. I will be holding similar sessions regularly across Watford in the near future. If you would like to book an appointment please contact my office.”
