This morning, Dean Russell, the Member of Parliament for Watford, hosted the Foreign Secretary, along with his wife, for an interfaith roundtable discussion in Watford. The event brought together nearly 20 leaders from various faiths in and around Watford to engage in a meaningful conversation.
During the meeting, the Foreign Secretary shared his experiences as part of his role and how he has witnessed the profound significance of faith within different communities worldwide. The roundtable attendees had the opportunity to ask questions, including how fellow MP’s and politicians can actively engage with diverse faith communities, taking inspiration from Dean Russell's dedication in this regard. They also discussed ways to encourage young people to become more involved with their own faiths, fostering personal growth and enhancing community cohesion.
Dean was pleased to welcome the Foreign Secretary and his wife to Watford, appreciating their time and genuine interest in the local faith communities. The roundtable provided an excellent platform for different faith leaders to collaborate on various projects and initiatives that unite people of faith and no faith. The discussions left the participants eager to plan future events that foster inclusivity and understanding within Watford.
