Dean Russell MP visits Future Academies school

Watford MP visited Future Academies school in Watford for a Q+A with the sixth form and year 11 pupils.

Future Academies Watford is a mixed, non-selective secondary school and sixth form based in Garston, admitting students from the ages of 11 to 18. The school is part of the Future Academies Multi-Academy Trust (MAT).

Dean took part in a Q&A session with pupils, a number of whom attended his 2022 Watford & South-West Herts Parliamentary Debate competition.

Speaking after the visit Dean said “Thank you to Future Academies for having me, it was great to chat with the students who asked some fantastic questions covering almost all areas of politics, both local and national. I look forward to welcoming the students to Parliament again in the near future for a tour. The school has some fantastic initiatives”

They say a week is a long time in politics and that couldn’t be more true with the election only just a week or so ago.  Now that my Parliamentary office has been emptied, my pass has been deactivated, my meetings have begun on my team’s redundancies and winding down has started, I felt it wou
