Today, the government launch Pharmacy First. This scheme will allow pharmacists to treat 7 common health conditions such as sinusitis & earache without patients needing to see a GP. Pharmacists are trained health professionals who can identify, provide advice and also sell medication for the treatment of minor conditions. They can also identify more serious conditions and signpost people to their GP or other healthcare professionals. All information which you provide to your pharmacist will be treated in strict confidence, and could save yourself time and many pharmacies are open in the evening and during the weekend.
