The Met Office has forecasted an unsettled period over the coming days, peaking with Storm Ciarán crossing the south of the country on Thursday. A yellow weather warning has been issued for very strong winds and heavy rain associated with Storm Ciarán. The weather warning doesn't cover Watford itself, but it comes very close. The weather warning is in effect between 12am and 6pm on Thursday, and residents are advised to be cautious as there’s a slight chance that buildings and infrastructure could sustain damage. Additionally, there's a threat of significant inland flooding across parts of England starting from Wednesday as Storm Ciarán approaches.
