Local MP Dean Russell helped to host a fundraising quiz organised by the Watford Rotary Club, alongside former Watford FC player Luther Blissett and local Mayor Peter Taylor.
Rotary members believe that we have a shared responsibility to take action on our world’s most persistent issues, and money raised helps to support their cause.
The Watford Rotary Club is one of more than 34,000 clubs worldwide that form the international Rotary movement. The club is open to all who wish to put something back into the community or support national and international causes. It is also a chance to enjoy meeting socially, have some fun, and make new friends and contacts in the local area.
Attendees were offered a 2-course buffet dinner before getting into groups for the quiz which covered topics such as sport, comedy, geography, music and politics.
Speaking at the quiz Dean said “It is always a pleasure to spend time with the Watford Rotary Club and its supporters. I really admire their commitment to helping others and they work really hard to put on a fantastic calendar of events all year round to support their efforts.”
