Dean Russell MP paid another visit to Watford Shopmobility, which is situated right in the heart of town. Dean met the incredible volunteers and had a look around the premises, where the volunteers discussed with Dean the importance of this service.
Shopmobility Watford is a remarkable local charity with a proud 30-year history of lending manual and battery-powered wheelchairs and scooters to individuals facing mobility challenges. Whether it's due to a permanent condition, temporary setback, accident, illness, or the natural process of aging, Shopmobility provides a lifeline of support, granting users greater independence. Best of all, this service is absolutely free for daily use within Watford Town centre, spanning from Watford Museum to Watford Town Hall and the Atria shopping centre.
Dean Russell MP, after his visit, shared his thoughts, saying, "It was a pleasure to come and meet the team at Shopmobility again. It was really interesting to gain a further understanding of some of the accessibility issues in our town. It's fantastic that we have this service right in the heart of Watford, as it empowers people who may struggle with mobility, for various reasons, to experience a sense of independence. Without the volunteers, Shopmobility could not operate. If you or a loved one could benefit from the service, please do get in touch with the team."
