Local MP Dean Russell attended a lunch at Fullerians RFC, having been invited by the Chairman of the club.
Fullerians is an amateur rugby club in Watford that was established in 1925. They club has more than 1,100 members and over 20 squads- with men's, women's, minis, juniors, mixed ability and touch rugby teams.
The club facilities are used 7 days a week, either by members, local fitness groups, local residents for birthday parties and celebrations and even a motorcycle training company.
Following the lunch Dean said “I would like to thank the Chairman for inviting me today. The club plays an important role in our community, given how many people play there and use the facilities. I have spoken before about the important relationship between sport and community.
“I would also like to thank the many local businesses through that support the club through sponsorship.”
