Watford MP Dean Russell joined The Josh Hanson Memorial Football Tournament which once again took place at the Watford FC training ground in London Colney. There were also raffles, face painting, and penalty shootouts for attendees to enjoy, while raising vital funds.
Josh Hanson was murdered in an unprovoked knife attack in 2015 in London, aged just 21. Following his murder, Josh's family set up The Josh Hanson Trust, to support, help and encourage children and young people to prevent them from turning to a life of crime.
They also deliver practical support to families who have lost loved ones to violent crime, and work with public sector organisations to prevent more young people from becoming victims of violent crime in the future.
At the event, Dean said, "I attended the tournament last year, and it was a pleasure to return once again. What an incredible afternoon we have had, where we witnessed brilliant games but also a wonderful atmosphere, whilst people remembered and celebrated the life of Josh.
"His family have worked tirelessly to set up the Trust and are helping people on a daily basis. I would also like to thank Watford FC for allowing the use of their facilities."
