As the former Business Minister, I fully support the Employment Relations (Flexible Working) Bill which will encourage a more open and constructive dialogue between employers and employees.
During the pandemic, many businesses had to adapt their working arrangements to ensure the safety of their staff, customers and to continue their operations. This included finding new ways of working with technology or remote working. However, the pandemic also demonstrated to us the need to be adaptable to changing personal circumstances and the need for flexibility in working arrangements.
As I said my my speech in the Chamber, this Bill demonstrates the cross-party work for important issues such as these which I know will benefit millions, including residents in Watford.
