Dean Russell was pleased to attend the Watford Interfaith Association Celebration to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Peace Garden.
The celebration, organised by WiFA, brought together members of the community to honour a decade of promoting unity, collaboration, and peace through the Peace Garden initiative. The organisation really helps to foster interfaith cooperation and understanding across Watford.
During the celebration, Dean said a few words and shared his thoughts on the creation of the tranquil Peace Garden.
Following the service, Dean said, ‘I would like to thank Judith from WiFA for the kind invitation to join them today at this celebration. The garden has emerged as a symbol of unity and as a result of the faith communities coming together to provide an inclusive space for everyone to enjoy and find solace.
The Peace Garden stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and shared values. It is a remarkable achievement that the faith communities in our region have worked together to create such a beautiful and peaceful sanctuary and I am honoured to be part of this celebration. I look forward to reflecting on the journey of the Peace Garden in the coming years.’
