It was an honour to have been invited to the Watford Saraswati Puja festival at Holywell Community Centre today. Thanks to everyone involved for organising such a wonderful and creative event.

The event has expanded the celebrations from a small gathering in a Watford garage in 2014 into an annual festival for the whole community to attend to celebrate Saraswati, the Hindu goddess who represents education, creativity, and music, which were reflected in activities throughout the day.

I met lots of families from across Watford and many who had come from far and wide including Sheffield and Kent just for the celebrations. Well done to all the children who took part in the various creative events including the drawing and speech competitions.
