Watford MP Dean Russell joined local charity Electric Umbrella on Watford High Street to support their fundraising efforts. Electric Umbrella is a community of more than 2,000 people which creates live interactive music experiences with learning disabled people. They also deliver specialist live music experiences for hundreds of SEN schools across the UK.
They were recently awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in recognition of their invaluable work. The QAVS aims to recognise outstanding work by local volunteer groups that benefits their communities.
Dean joined the group as they pushed their famous yellow piano down Watford High Street, accompanied by live music and some wonderful Electric Umbrella magic. Following the visit Dean said “the energy and enthusiasm today was great to see. Their volunteers work so hard to support Electric Umbrella members and it was a pleasure to be able to support them.”
