Dean Russell MP visits GMSP Akshaya Patra kitchen

Dean Russell MP  visited the Akshaya Patra  UK kitchen in Watford with MP Bob Blackman, Councillor Ameet Jogia,  and Lord Popat to see the huge operation that is providing nutritious meals to thousands of Watford residents.

In partnership with UK charity God is My Silent Partner (GMSP), Akshaya Patra has set up a kitchen which can produce 9,000 meals each day, and is a zero-carbon and zero-waste kitchen.

The mission is not only to address the issue of hunger but also to ensure that each meal is nutritious and tasty. With the help of innovative and latest technology, each meal comprises 650 calories which constitutes a balanced diet.
