Local MP Dean Russell visited Nascot Wood Infant & Nursery School where he was given a tour of the school and playground and popped into the morning assembly to say hello to the pupils.
Nascot Wood, which is rated Outstanding by OFSTED, invited Dean as they continue with their campaign to raise £20,000 to overhaul their playground, and Dean has pledged one of his paintings for the school’s auction. Other fundraisers include film clubs, a sponsored keep fit day, honesty boxes in local shops and face painting in Cassiobury Park.
Speaking after the visit the MP for Watford said "Play is a crucial part of any child’s education, and I am delighted to support this cause. Nascot Wood School has done a great job raising thousands of pounds so far, but let's see if we can get them a bit closer to that £20k target.
"I would like to thank the staff and pupils for having me, and I look forward to visiting their new playground when it is complete."
