Watford Mencap works with people who have learning disabilities, their families and carers. This wonderful charity has a service user and carer base of 800 people.
This independent self-financing charity supports people who have a learning disability in Watford, Three Rivers and Hertsmere. The clients are always at the heart of what this charity does, and the services are tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual who is referred.
The Fun Run was two categories. The 1k route is fully accessible, and the longer 10k route goes through the park and Whippendell Woods, which is often referred to as the Bluebell Route.
Dean said, "I was delighted to help marshall this superb annual event in Watford. Events such as this are great for charities to raise awareness and funds for their cause. It was so good to see the happy faces cross the line and receive their bespoke medals."
